This role is responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and validating that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Gateley operates a hybrid delivery methodology, with a growing emphasis on iterative and agile practices. The QA Analyst will work across multiple projects simultaneously, including regulatory, technology-led, and process improvement initiatives, while also contributing to continuous improvement in testing practices and outcomes.
The QA Analyst collaborates closely with Business Analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders across the business to ensure that quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. A strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive mindset are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be joining a newly established Quality Assurance, within the Business Change Department. Led by the Quality Assurance Manager, the team is focused on building strong foundations for testing excellence, ensuring that quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Working within the Business Change Department, the Quality Assurance function plays a key role in supporting strategic initiatives by enabling reliable, efficient, and fit-for-purpose solutions. The team contributes to a wide range of projects—from regulatory compliance to technology-led transformation—by applying structured testing approaches, identifying risks early, managing defect resolution and validating business outcomes.
Collaboration is central to how the team operates, partnering closely with the Change Department, IT support services, and third-party vendors to ensure that testing is aligned with business needs and delivery timelines. The team also supports continuous improvement by refining testing practices, introducing automation where appropriate, and sharing knowledge across the wider department.
This is a great opportunity to help shape the team’s processes, culture, and approach to quality from the ground up. You’ll have the chance to contribute meaningfully while mentoring and supporting junior team members as the team grows.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Collaboration and Communication
The Quality Assurance Analyst must demonstrate strong communication skills across a range of formats and audiences—whether clarifying requirements with stakeholders, documenting test outcomes, or reporting defects to development teams.
Tools and Methodologies
The Quality Assurance Analyst operates within Gateley’s hybrid delivery framework, with increasing adoption of iterative and agile practices. Proficiency in Azure DevOps is essential, as it serves as the primary platform for managing test cases, tracking defects, and collaborating across delivery teams.
While manual testing remains a core responsibility, Gateley is actively exploring test automation to enhance efficiency and coverage. Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright is advantageous, as the automation strategy evolves.
A strong understanding of structured testing approaches, test planning, execution techniques, and defect lifecycle management is required, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement in quality assurance practices.
Career Development
This role offers a clear and flexible career development path, with opportunities to progress into more senior, leadership, or technical areas within Quality Assurance. You’ll have the chance to lead work on complex projects, mentor junior team members, influence testing strategies, and specialise in areas such as automation.
We also support continuous learning through certifications, training, and access to industry events, helping you grow alongside the evolving QA function and wider organisation.
Additional Information
The successful candidate must hold an ISTQB Foundation Certification, or equivalent.
