Role Type: Full-time

The Role at a Glance

This role sits within Good Growth’s Build team, where you will design, build, and maintain client Experiences using the Good Growth Technology platform.

You will work hands-on with front-end technologies, diving into existing websites, APIs, and data to develop features that directly impact how leading brands innovate and grow online.

This is a practical, problem-solving role. It is about understanding how things work, not just writing code.

Why This Role Matters

Many large organisations are held back by legacy technology. Good Growth exists to remove those barriers.

As a Software Developer, you will help clients move faster, experiment more, and optimise their digital experiences. Your work will have real-world impact, often tested against control variants and measured for performance.

You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and client teams, working across multiple projects in a varied and fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and deliver client Experiences using the proprietary GGT platform
  • Develop features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Preact
  • Work with internal tools and APIs specific to the GGT platform
  • Write end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Playwright to support monitoring
  • Take part in the full software development lifecycle including scoping, development, QA, and review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional squads including developers, analysts, and client teams
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in peer reviews and uphold development best practices
  • Act as a technical point of contact on some client-facing calls

About You

You are a problem-solver and logical thinker who enjoys understanding the why as much as the how. You like exploring how websites work, using existing APIs and data to create efficient solutions.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • 1 to 3 years of commercial software development experience
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time

  • Willingness to work from a Good Growth office when required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
  • Familiarity with automated testing
  • Exposure to CRO tools such as Optimizely, Google Optimize, or Monetate

Working Hours and Location

  • Hybrid working with most team members in the office 1 to 2 days per week
  • Offices based in Birmingham and Exeter
  • Core hours are 10:00am to 3:00pm UK time with flexible start and finish times

You may be asked to spend more time in the office during your first few months to support onboarding and collaboration.

Salary and Benefits

  • £30,000 to £40,000 salary depending on experience
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible and hybrid working
  • Learning and development allowance
  • Regular team events and socials including a two-day company town hall
  • Company bonus scheme
  • Work from anywhere policy for up to 30 days per year
