Senior Technical Application Specialist

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid, at least 40% or two days per week in the office)
Salary: £70,929 to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits
Hours: Full time
Team: International and CHAPS Lab

The role

Join the team building and supporting our new International Payments Platform. You will focus on Finastra Global Payplus and related services that deliver key revenue streams and mandatory compliance for international and CHAPS payments.

What you will do

• Configure Finastra Global Payplus to meet complex business requirements.
• Integrate third party packages and customise solutions, including rule based logic.
• Plan and implement production changes safely and on schedule.
• Drive defect management with third party suppliers.
• Produce product specifications and design test procedures and standards.
• Support builds and deployments using Agile tooling.
• Work closely with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to ship reliable payment services.

What you will need

• Strong experience with SWIFT and International Payments.
• Hands on configuration expertise with Finastra Global Payplus.
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle within Agile teams.
• Clear communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with third party suppliers on incident and defect management.

Helpful experience

• Java EE, SQL, Oracle, Unix or Linux, MQ, WebSphere, UrbanCode.
• Everyday use of Agile tooling.
