Overview
At West Midlands Police, we hold our officers and staff to a higher standard of behaviour and accountability than the public we serve. This principle underpins everything we do — including how we design, develop, and deliver technology that supports policing across the region.
The IT & Digital Department drives the Force’s adoption and use of technology. It’s made up of three core functions:
-
Architecture Management: Selecting the right technologies for the Force.
-
Delivery Management: Implementing those technologies effectively and securely.
-
Service Management: Managing and maintaining all live, operational technology.
The Delivery Management function ensures every Force project delivers fit-for-purpose technology — on time, at the right cost, and with acceptable risk.
