The Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design and deliver advanced AI solutions using modern machine learning, generative, and agentic AI technologies.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will work directly with customers to translate business challenges into trustworthy, scalable AI solutions. You will also act as a technical mentor, supporting junior engineers and helping to foster a culture of learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver production-grade AI solutions using modern machine learning, generative, and agentic AI approaches
• Drive adoption of modern AI frameworks, AIOps best practices, and cloud-native architectures
• Translate complex business problems into responsible, trustworthy AI solutions
• Apply responsible AI principles throughout design, delivery, and deployment
• Build and deploy scalable solutions on cloud platforms using containerisation and orchestration tools
• Mentor and support engineers, contributing to team growth and technical excellence
• Collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment

Essential Experience

• A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Proven experience deploying modern AI and ML solutions into production
• Strong experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model evaluation, and monitoring
• Experience using metrics such as precision, recall, NDCG, and drift detection
• Strong Python skills and solid software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and code reviews
• Experience delivering solutions at scale on Azure and or AWS
• Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong data engineering capability handling large-scale, unstructured, and multimodal data
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, model interpretability, and ethical considerations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience fine-tuning or distilling large language models including GPT, Llama, Claude, or Gemini
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn or XGBoost
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and knowledge graphs
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research
• Familiarity with AI security, privacy, and compliance standards such as ISO 42001
