Mid-Level / Full Stack Engineer

Compensation: £60-90k + equity

Contract type: Full-time, permanent (3 days a week in-person)

Already trusted by students and institutions alike, StudyStash is on a mission to improve learning outcomes by making study more intelligent, personalised, and engaging. With a growing number of universities adopting StudyStash, we're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join us as one of our first employees. You’ll ship production code from day one and own major features end-to-end. You’ll be talking to users, building and iterating. We’re a hybrid team based in the UK + US, and this position will require 3 days a week in person, working directly with the CTO.

• Observability with Sentry
• SOTA LLMS

Skills & experience we're looking for:

• 3+ years shipping full-stack production code across TypeScript, React, Next.js.
• Strong familiarity with building LLM apps (RAG, prompting, structured outputs, bias handling)
• Comfortable moving extremely fast with rapid iterations
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills (e.g. N+1 queries, memory usage, job queues)

Bonus if:

• You have shipped a product end-to-end (from frontend to backend/API) and scaled to a ton of active users.
• You have previous experience in EdTech
